Setting Apart.

THANK YOU to all of our children and grandchildren in attendance yesterday afternoon at 3:10 pm when the Stake President, Kurt Jaussi ( pronounced yow z), set us apart as full time missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the Stake Center. We were in the High Council room because there were so many of us and he asked Papa Lee to introduce everyone before we got started.  It was a test!

President Jaussi was unaware that our assignment had changed to office couple but said he had fond memories of his office couple showing support and concern while serving in Norway many years ago.  He then proceeded to explain and expound on the definition of "setting apart."

Cory was asked to say the opening prayer, after which I was set apart and then Lee was set apart. It was a wonderful blessing. I am grateful for every opportunity our twelve little grandkids have to witness the Priesthood in action and to feel the Spirit.

We served nachos at home for the family afterward and enjoyed banana splits for "junk." We often have popcorn or treats for whoever shows up Sunday nights and the kids (or should I say their mothers) call it "junk."

After testimony meeting and other church meetings this morning and the setting apart and dinner tonight, it has been a really GOOD day. We feel blessed and anxious to get started training for the next two weeks (we come home for the weekend ) and then to get out into the field and get to work.
AUSTRALIA HERE WE COME!
